This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the permitted and prohibited uses of the Friday platform (the “Service”) operated by Friday Tech Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). The AUP forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms used but not defined in this AUP have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. General Prohibitions

You must not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, or encourage or facilitate such violation.
  • Upload, transmit, store, or otherwise make available any content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing of intellectual property or other rights of any person, or that constitutes unlawful or harmful material.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, to any account or data not belonging to you, or to any of our or our service providers’ systems or networks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, availability, or performance of the Service or any related system, including by introducing malware, overwhelming infrastructure, or circumventing access controls.
  • Use automated means (including bots, scripts, scrapers, or similar tools) to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or any part of it, except as expressly permitted by your agreement with us.

2. Dealer-Specific Obligations

If you use the Service in connection with motor car trading or related activities, you additionally agree that:

  • All vehicle listings, advertisements, and records you create or maintain through the Service must be accurate, truthful, and compliant with the Australian Consumer Law and the Motor Car Traders Act 1986 (Vic) (and any other applicable law).
  • You will not use the Service to create or distribute advertisements or representations that are misleading or deceptive as to vehicle condition, pricing, history, provenance, or any other material fact.
  • You will collect, use, and disclose any personal information of buyers, sellers, or other individuals that you enter into or process through the Service in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of the data you input into the Service. The Service assists with record-keeping and workflow but does not verify the truthfulness or legality of your inputs, and we disclaim any responsibility for your use of that data.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your password or permit any third party to access your account. You must notify us promptly at support@fridaytech.com.au if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account or any other security incident relating to the Service.

4. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected or actual breach of this AUP. Without limiting our rights under the Terms of Service or at law, we may take such action as we consider appropriate in the circumstances, including:

  • Issuing a warning and requiring corrective action.
  • Temporarily or indefinitely suspending your access to the Service.
  • Terminating your account and your right to use the Service.
  • Reporting the conduct to relevant regulatory or law enforcement authorities where we believe it may constitute a breach of law.

We are not obliged to provide notice before taking action where we reasonably consider that immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties, or to comply with law.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the Service that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to us at support@fridaytech.com.au. We will review reports in accordance with our internal procedures but are not obliged to take any particular action or to disclose the outcome to you.

6. Changes

We may amend this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated AUP on this page and, where appropriate, by email or notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP.
